    Jeffrey D. Darting
    Jeffrey Darrell Darting, 27, Topeka, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 1993, a few hours after he was admitted to a To¬peka hospital.
    Topeka police said Mr. Darting had been stabbed and that a suspect is in custody.
    Mr. Darting worked for Joe Conroy Construction and part time for Sun¬shine Salvage in Topeka.
    He was born June 26, 1966, in To¬peka, the son of Gerry and Judy Cowan Darting. He grew up and at-tended school in Silver Lake, and was graduated from Highland Park High School in 1985. He attended one semester at Washburn University and Kaw Area Vocational-Technical School, both in Topeka.
    He was married to Kandy Yates May 1, 1988, in Topeka. She survives.
    Other survivors include a daughter, Krystina Darting, at home; his moth¬er, Judy Darting, Silver Lake; his fa-ther, Gerry Darting, Topeka; two sis¬ters, Sarah Darting and Jennifer Darting, both of Silver Lake; and a grandmother, Wauneta Darting, Emmett.
    Mr. Darting donated some of his organs for medical designation.
    Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Buri¬al will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mr. Darting will lie in state after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home where relatives and friends will meet from 7 until 8 p.m. Wednesday.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Capper Foundation, 3500 W. 10th, 66604. Individual dona¬tions of blood may be made to Tope¬ka Blood Bank Inc., 800 Lane, 66606.
