    Donald L. Denton

    Donald L. Denton, 78, of Rossville, KS passed away June 25, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. He was born June 14, 1936 in Beatrice, NE the son of Dean L. and Pearl (Benson) Denton.
    Donald attended school in Beatrice, NE.
    He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. Donald owned and operated Denton’s Brick Mason for over 50 years, working in Holton, Rossville and surrounding areas. He was a member of the Rossville American Legion and had attended Lutheran church and later Catholic churches with his wife.
    He married Eunice P. Becker on December 25, 1956 in Marysville, KS. She preceded him in death on March 29, 1999. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Julie Solomon and a sister, Barb Denton.
    Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Ann Decker and her husband Martin of Paxico, KS; a sister, Betty Pac of Texas; 9 grandchildren and 8 great¬grandchildren.
    Private family graveside services were held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Holton. Memorials may be given to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
