    Sedlacek
    Jaroslav “Sid” Sedlacek, 95, Holton, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at his home.

    He was bom April 28, 1922, in Abie, Neb., the son of Frank and Theresa Stach Sedlacek. He graduated from Rossville High School in 1940.

    Mr. Sedlacek served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After his enlistment in the Army he returned to the family farm near Whiting, where he continued to farm for more than 50 years, retiring in 2000.

    Survivors include a brother, Louis Sedlacek, Prague, Neb.; three nieces, Pam Todd, Midlothin, Texas, Susan Anderly, Phoenix, Ariz., and Kelly Luth, Little Rock, Ark.; and four nephews, Alvin Elsik, San Antonio, Texas, Gary Anderly and Steven Anderly, both of Phoenix, Ariz., and Russell Sedlacek, Lincoln, Neb. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Libbie Elsik and Viola Anderly; three brothers, Zdenek, Raymond, Victor and Jerry Sedlacek; and a nephew, Dale Elsik.

    A memorial graveside service with military honors will be held at Prague National Cemetery in Prague, Neb. at a later date.
