| Obituary- Cox, Thomas Thomas J. Cox
Thomas J. Cox, of Laurel, Ind. a former citizen of Rossville township, and at one time postmaster of Rossville, died last Thursday at Valley Falls where he had been visiting relatives. The body was brought to Rossville Sunday and interment made in the family lot. No church services were held here but the Hesperian Lodge, No. 111, of which Mr. Cox was a member, conducted services at the grave. After leaving Rossville to live in Indiana, Mr. Cox has made frequent visits here and at Silver Lake where he had purchased a farm. About three weeks ago he came to Valley Falls to live with a niece, after physicians had informed him he was suffering with cancer of the bladder. After arriving he was stricken with a stroke of paralysis which hastened his death. Mr. Cox was a veteran of the civil war and was in his 78th year.
