Mr. and Mrs. Howard L. Sergeant of Juanita, Nebraska, announce the marriage of their daughter, Doris Winifred, to Reverend Louis J. Kovar of Utica, Nebraska. Rev. Kovar is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kovar living north of Rossville. The bride and groom first met in Utica where Mrs. Kovar is a teacher and director of music in the Utica Public schools and Rev. Kovar is pastor of the First Presbyterian church. The bride is a native of Nebraska. She received her education at Hastings college, Hastings Nebraska, and is a graduate of the Nebraska University of Lincoln. Mrs. Kovar was elected to the honorary society of Phi Beta Kappa in the school of fine arts. The groom received his basic training at Kansas State college of Manhattan, Kansas. After a short career of research and high school teaching experience he entered the Presbyterian Theological Seminary of Omaha in preparation for the ministry and during the past two years he has served the Utica Pastorate. In connection, during the past year, Rev. Kovar served on the university faculty of the Municipal University of Omaha. The Rev. and Mrs. Kovar were married in Jewell, Kansas, on October 10, and they will make their home in Utica, Nebraska.
