  Obituary- Bailey, Ellen Ellen O. Bailey Ellen O. Bailey, 88, passed away Mon. Mar. 10 at Topeka Pres¬byterian Manor. She was born Aug. 13, 1919 in Shawnee County, the daughter of Joshua A. and Pearl (Weir) McRoberts. She graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1938. She was married to Stanley Bailey on Nov. 1, 1941. He preceded her in death Jan. 11, 1996. Ellen and Stanley farmed for many years. Later she worked as a clerk for the Dept. of Revenue until her retirement. She was a member of Silver Lake United Methodist Church and life member of Loyal Chapter #176, OES. She was also preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother. She is survived by a brother, Wilbur (Gene) McRoberts; sister-in-law, Vada H. McRoberts, Silver Lake, and niece, Jeanette Catrom, Silver Lake. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Thurs. Mar. 13, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Family will receive friends 12:30-1:00, prior to the service. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery. Ellen will lie in state after 3:00 PM Wed.
