    Olen Cass McDaniel
    ALMA, Ark. — Olen Cass McDaniel, 81, Alma, Ark., died Monday, March 1, 1988, at a Fort Smith, Ark., hospital.

    Mr. McDaniel was an Army veteran of World War II.

    He was born March 13, 1907, at Delia, Kan., one of seven children of William Etley and Abbie Jane Baker McDaniel. He grew up in Delia and lived in California before he moved to Arkansas.

    Mr. McDaniel was a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church and Alma Chapter of Disabled American Veterans.

    Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Lee, Phoenix, Ariz.; a son, Billy Joe McDaniel, Pleasant Hill, Calif.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

    Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in National Cemetery at Fort Smith. Mr. McDaniel will lie in state today at Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren, Ark.
