  Obituary- Box, John John W. Box Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in Parker Mortuary in Topeka for John W. Box, 87, longtime Silver Lake resident who died Thursday in a Topeka hospital. Burial was in Silver Lake Cemetery. He was born April 18, 1875, in Missouri and had lived in Silver Lake 44 years. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include two sons, Howard and Eldred Box, both of Silver Lake; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Dora McDermit, St. Joseph, Mo.
