  Obituary- Boyd, Vera Vera Mae Boyd Vera Mae Boyd, 86, Topeka, died Wednesday, Sept 10, 1997 at a Rossville nursing home. Mrs. Boyd was a meat wrapper for the Kroger Co. until she retired in 1970. She later was a nanny for many years in the Kansas City area. She was born Oct. 4, 1910, in Fayetteville, Ark. She moved to Topeka five years ago. Mrs. Boyd was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Kansas City, Mo., and Meatcutters Local Union No. 576. Survivors include a daughter, Rae Anthony, Lenexa. Burial was at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville Valley Manor in Rossville, 66533. Newcomer Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
