| Obituary- Adams, Robert Robert Glenn ‘Bob’ Adams
St. George – Robert Glenn ‘Bob’ Adams, 73, rural St. George, died Monday, Oct. 4, 1993, at his home after a long illness.
Mr. Adams served more than 25 years in the Army, then five years in the Army Reserve.
He was born June 4, 1920, in Jackson County, the son of Earl W. and Arra Roberson Adams. He attended Mayetta area schools.
He and his wife lived in St. George the past 21 years.
Mr. Adams was a member of Belvue United Methodist Church, the Association of the United States Army, Retired Enlisted Association and Black Jack Post No. 260 of the American Legion in St. George.
He was married to Esther Prickett May 11, 1946, at Wamego. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Brigitte Borberg Fryfogle, Beloit, Ohio; a brother, Melvin Earl Adams, Welda; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in R.J. Evans Mortuary in Wamego. Military graveside services will be conducted by Black Jack Post No. 260 in Wamego City Cemetery. Mr. Adams will lie in state from noon until 9 p.m. today at the mortuary where family and friends will meet from 7 until 8 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Manhattan in care of the mortuary.
