    William “Bill” Eugene Stich, 77, Topeka, passed away Friday, March 10,2017, at the House at Midland Care surrounded by his family.

    Bill was born August 8,1939, in Delia KS, the son of Albert and Marie Stich. He graduated from Hayden Catholic High School in 1957. Following high school, Bill joined the United States Navy and proudly served our country until 1960.

    On July 25,1963, Bill and Mabel Fox were united in marriage in Topeka. She survives.

    Bill worked as an optical laboratory technician at Duffen’s Optical for 40 years.

    Bill was a devout Catholic and attended Mater Dei
    Parish and Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He enjoyed collecting records and building clocks. Bill was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He had a strong, dedicated love for his family. Bill especially delighted in spending time with his grandchildren and loved attending their events as their proud grandfather.

    Grateful to have shared his life are his wife, Mabel, of the home; their children, Tim Stich (Kim) and Karyn Green (Rob Oliver), of Topeka; two grandchildren, Tyler and Kayla Green; sister, Doris Oseland; brother, Robert Stich; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews.

    A parish rosary will be prayed at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614, where family will greet friends following until 8 p.m.

    Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
    Wednesday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
