Two daughters, Sandra Hoferer and Susan DeDonder, are deceased. They have ten grandchildren. Edward Macha and Mary Hobart were married October 4,1942. Mr. Macha retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in 1981, after more than 34 years of service. The couple requests no gifts, please.
  		Anniversary- Macha, Edward and Mary 2 60th Anniversary To Be Celebrated Edward and Mary Macha will celebrate their 60lh wedding anniversary Friday, October 4, 2002. Edward Macha and Mary Hobart were married in Herington October 4, 1942, when Edward was serving in the U.S. Navy and was home on leave; Mary was in nursing school at Halstead. They moved to Rossville in 1954, where they raised five sons and two daughters. Family and friends are invited to help them celebrate this occasion from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the Friendship Meals site at the Rossville Senior Center. Ed and Mary request no gifts, please.

  Obituary- Macha, Edward Ed Macha ROSSVILLE — Edward A. "Ed" Macha, 85, Rossville, died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at a Rossville nursing home. He was born April 6, 1918, in Delia, to Adolph’ and Mary Penaz Macha. He spent his early life in the Delia community and graduated from Delia High School in 1935. He lived in Topeka for nine years and spent most of his life In the Delia and Rossville communities. He was employed by Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. as an electrician for 34 years before he retired May 3, 1981. He worked for Wilts Truck Stop in Rossville for 12 years. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Navy from 1940 to 1947. He also served in the Naval Reserve for five years. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion, both in Rossville. He was a Goodyear Credit Union director for several years. He had served on the Rossville Grade School board. He married Mary Hobart on Oct. 4, 1942. She survives. A daughter, Susan DeDonder, died May 28, 1986. Another daughter, Sandra Hoferer, died March 7, 1987. Other survivors include five sons, Wayne Macha, Carlsbad, Calif., Donald Macha, Rossville, Kenneth Macha, Topeka, William Macha, Santee, Calif., and Charles Macha, Jamul, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rossville Presbyterian Church. Lillard Post No. 31 of the, American Legion in Rossville will Conduct graveside services at Mount Calvary Cemetery in St. Marys. Mr. Macha will lie in state after 2 p.m. Wednesday at Piper Funeral Chapel in Rossville, where visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Rossville Presbyterian Church, Heart of America Hospice or Rossville Senior Center, 66533.
