    Obituary- Dennis, Benjamin
    Obituary- Dennis, Benjamin
    Benjamin Dennis Is No More.
While doing some carpenter work on a new building for Mr. Myers near North Topeka last Monday, Ben Dennis received internal injuries from a fall which resulted in his death Wednesday afternoon. The news of this accident and the fatal result thereof was a distinct shock to the citizens of Rossville. Many years residence in this city had established for Mr. Dennis a wide circle of friends who admired his traits of generosity and kindliness--Ben was everybody's friend, and his sudden demise is deplored by all.

The body arrived from Topeka on the afternoon of the Fourth and rested in the family home until this morning, when the flower-bedecked casket was tenderly carried to the Presbyterian Church. Rev. J.G. Maver of Topeka officiated at the funeral and delivered a beautiful and impressive sermon. His words carried genuine consolation to the stricken widow and left an indelible impression upon the minds of the congregation. The A.O.U.W. lodge of this city, of which the deceased was an old member and acting officer, administered the solemn rites of the order at the city cemetery.

Benjamin Dennis was 51 years of age. A devoted wife and a granddaughter survive him.
