    Agnes Bernritter
    Agnes Marie Hutley Bernritter, 84, Topeka, Kansas, passed away Monday, October 30, 2017.

    Agnes was born January 12,1933, in St. Marys, Kansas, the daughter of Edward and Rose Marstall Hutley. Agnes attended Menoken Grade School and graduated from St. Marys High School. She worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield and retired as a supervisor.
    Agnes married Herman Vincent Bernritter on September 15,1972. They shared a great passion for polka dancing and traveling, following their favorite bands or just seeing the countryside.

    Agnes spent her retirement years volunteering at Midland Care Hospice, where she was honored with several awards for her dedication and service. Agnes also volunteered in the office at Mater Dei Grade School where many children got to know her as Aunt Aggie. She enjoyed being around the children, parents, faculty and staff and was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the parish and school in 2011.

    Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Herman, in 2000, her parents, and brothers, Richard, Vincent, Leo and Ervin Hutley. Grateful to have shared her life are her sisters, Juanita Krilich (Matt), Peggy Clark (John), Karen Griffin (Ron) and Kay Payne (Larry); brother, Jerry Hutley (Vicki); sisters- in-law, Mary Alice Hutley, Lola Stevanus, Becky Hutley, Elenor Engle, Mary Harper and Merna Sturgis; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

    Visitation will be Sunday, November 5th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614, where the rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m.

    Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Mon-day, November 6th, at Mater Dei Holy Name Church, 1114 SW 10th Street, Topeka KS 66604. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.

    Memorial contributions may be made to Mater Dei Parish or to Midland Care Hospice, sent in care of the funeral home.
