    Obituary- Brooks, Lana
    Mrs. Lana Brooks, 72, wife of E.R. Brooks, retired Harveyville farmer, passed away at her home in Harveyville, Thursday night, April 20, after a long illness.
    She was born at McComb, Illinois, May 26, 1877, the daughter of the late William and Mary Rankin. The family moved to Rossville in 1878 and she grew to womanhood here. At an early age she became a member of the Christian Church in Rossville and was a lifelong member.
    She was united in marriage to Ernest Brook January 26, 1898, at Rossville. To this union five children were born: Howard, of Brighton, Colo.: Wayne, of Topeka; Irl of DelNorte, Colo.; Clark, of Burlingame, and Mrs. Doris Haller, of Harveyville, Kansas, all of whom, with the husband survive. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    Services were held Saturday April 22, at 1:30 p.m. in the Harveyville Methodist Church and the body was brought to Rossville Cemetery for burial.
