  Obituary- Browne, Matthew Matthew A. Browne Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Church for Matthew A. Browne, 93, 528 N. Ohio, who died Thursday, January 23, 1975, in a Topeka hospital. He was born Dec. 18, 1881, in Adrian Township of Jackson County and lived in Emmett and St. Marys most of his life. He had lived in Topeka the past 26 years. He was a retired farmer and a member of Sacred Heart Church. His wife, Mrs. Marie Browne, died April 21, 1961. Survivors include his sons, John J. Browne, 525 Freeman, Matthew A. Browne, Midwest City, Okla., David C. Browne, 421 Scotland, Thomas P. Browne, 440 Sumner, and Florian M. Browne, 512 Wabash; three daughters, Mary E. Browne, 532 N. Ohio, Mrs. Theresa Stadler, 735 N. Winfield, and Kathleen M. Browne, of the home; 29 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Browne will lie in state from 2 p.m. unto 9 p.m. Sunday at Brennan Funeral Home where parish rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Knight of Columbus Lodge No. 534 will hold rosary services at 7:45 p.m.
