| Obituary- Canterbury, Christine 1 Christine Marie (Forman) Canterbury, age 22, Kansas City, entered into Heaven on Thursday, Feb 23 2012. She was born May 2, 1989, in Topeka, the daughter of Charles and Debra Sexton Forman. She was married to Eric Canterbury of Kansas City, Ks., May 7 2011. He survives. Other survivors include her parents, a brother Adam Forman of Topeka; grandparents Dolores Baldock of Topeka, Don and Janice Goodwin of Tecumseh; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Christine is also survived by her "kids", Jazzi Boxer, Patches Boxer, and Atticus the Cat all of the home. Christine had attended Topeka Elementary, Rossville Jr./Sr. High Schools and Kansas City Kansas Community College. She had been employed by the City of Topeka, PetSmart, IRS, and Lab Corp. Christine completed her Silver Award project for Girl Scouts in Topeka at Camp Tokavaca. During the course of her illness, Christine attended Camp Hope and Camp Quality, summer camps for children with cancer. She later became a staff member at Camp Quality. As a member of the Topeka Crochet Guild, Christine enjoyed crocheting blankets for donation to Project Linus. In lieu of flowers, Christine had requested donations be made to Barnes Jewish Lung Transplant research (BJC, 216 S. Kingshighway Blvd. St. Louis, Mo. 63110), or Lance Armstrong's LiveStrong Foundation for cancer research (www.livestrong.org/donate). Both of these foundations added years to Christine's life and meant a great deal to her. Christine will be cremated at Highland Park funeral home in Kansas City Ks. A memorial for family and friends will be held in Topeka at St. Peters United Methodist Church at (3737 NW 35th St., Topeka, Ks. 66618) on March 10th at 2:30 p.m. A celebration of Christine's life will also be held in Kansas City at Royals Kauffman Stadium, 9on March 11th 2012 from 1 to 5 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend either memorial or both if you prefer |
