    Mr. and Mrs. Nathan E. Burgett of Delia celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary Sunday, May 29. It was a quiet observance with friends and relatives calling during the day.

    The couple was married May 31, 1906, at Falls City, Nebraska and have lived in the Delia community for 57 years, Mr. Burgett was a farmer. They are the parents of two sons, Robert Burgett of Delia and Joe Burgett of Topeka. Their family also includes nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

    Joseph W. Burgett, 77, Topeka, died Thurs., July 25, 1996 at home. Mr. Burgett served in the Army during World War II.
    He worked 30 years for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. before retiring in 1983. He was born April 24, 1919, at Delia. Mr. Burgett was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Topeka and American Legion North Post No. 400
    He was married to Rita Mae Buckles. She preceded him in death. He later married Helen Dohrman. She survives.
    Other survivors include three sons, Gregory Burgett, Carbondale, Terry Burgett of Topeka, and Gary Burgett, Nashville, Tn.; one step-daughter, Dorothy Koch, Newton; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
    Mass of Christian Burial was Sat. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Military graveside services were conducted by Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion Rossville.
    Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care, Inc., Basic Cancer Research or Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church and sent in care of Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys.

    He was married to Rita Mae Buckles. She preceded him in death. He later married Helen Dohrman. She survives.
    Other survivors include three sons, Gregory Burgett, Carbondale, Terry Burgett, of Topeka, and Gary Burgett, Nashville, Tenn.; one stepdaughter, Dorothy Koch, New¬ton; 13 grandchildren and 11 great¬grandchildren.
    Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys. Burial was in Mount Cal¬vary Cemetery. Military graveside services were conducted by Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the Ameri¬can Legion in Rossville.

    Joseph W. Burgett, 77, died Thursday, July 25, 1996, at his home in Topeka.
    He was born April 24, 1919, at Delia
    He had lived in Topeka many years. He grew up in the Delia community and was graduated from Delia High School. He served in the Army during World War II, then worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Topeka for 30 years. He retired in 1983. He was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Topeka, and was a member of North Post No. 400 of the American Legion.
    He was married to Rita Mae Buckles. She preceded him in death. He later was married to Helen Dohrman; she survives.
    Other survivors include three sons, Gregory Burgett, Carbondale, Terry Burgett, Topeka, and Gary Burgett, Nashville; a step¬daughter, Dorothy Koch, Newton; 13 grandchildren and 11 great¬grandchildren.
    A rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Piper Verschelden Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:30 Saturday morning at the Immaculate Con¬ception Catholic Church at St. Marys; burial was in ML Calvary Cemetery, St Marys, after a mili¬tary graveside service conducted by Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion, Rossville.
