 | Obituary- Burke, Lloyd Man 68, killed by shotgun blast
Topeka --Lloyd Merrit Burke, 68, died Thurs. at Rossville from a self-inflicted shotgun wound, Sheriff Allen Engler said. Burke was fund in the driveway of a lumber yard operated by his brother-in-law, Bill Hesse.
Engler said Burke left letters in his car to a son, Hesse and the Salina postmaster. The sheriff said Burke had been living in a Topeka trailer court. Engler said Burke fired a 16 gauge shotgun into his mouth.
Funeral services were held Saturday at the Parker Funeral home with burial at Rossville cemetery.
