| Obituary- Burns, Lucy 1 Lucy Blandin Burns, daughter of James and Ketongo Blandin was born at Mayetta, April 4, 1899 and passed away at the Holton Hospital Nov. 9, after an extended illness.
She was married to Raymond Burns at Holton on Nov. 1, 1924 and spent all their married life in the Rock Brook community near Holton. To this union was born 8 children. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son Billy, 5 sisters and 4 brothers.
Surviving is her husband Raymond of the home, 3 daughters Julia Kennedy, Topeka, Theresa Askren of Circleville, Mary Carr of Monroe, Ohio, 4 sons, Martin of Holton, James of Columbus, Ga.; Edwin of Manhattan, Philip D. of Wichita; 4 daughters-in-law, 3 sons-in-law (or their husbands and wives) 31 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 5 sisters, Mabel Chaney, Le Bourdon, Jane Puckkee, Sarah Patterson, Rosie Burke, 1 brother Sam Blandin, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Pallbearers were grandsons, David Askren, Brad Carr, Ray Burns, Alan, Richard and Bob Burns.
A rosary was held at the Mercer Funeral Home on Nov. 12, at 8:15 p.m. Funeral services will be on Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Holton. The Father William Kauffman officiated. Interment was in the Rossville Cemetery.

HOLTON — Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Domi-nic’s Catholic Church here for Mrs. Lucy Blandin Burns, 74, Route 2, Mayetta, who died here Friday night in a hospital where she was admitted Oct. 22.
She was born April 4, 1899, near Mayetta and spent most of her life in the Mayetta com¬munity. She was a member of St. Dominic’s Catholic Church at Holton.
She was married to Raymond Burns Nov. 1, 1926, at Holton. He survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Julia Kennedy, 518 Burr, Topeka, Mrs. Theresa Askren, Monroe, Ohio; and four sons, Martin Burns, Route 1, Holton, James Burns, Colum¬bus, Ga., Edwin Burns, Man¬hattan, and Phillip D. Burns, Wichita.
Also surviving are five sis¬ters, Mrs. Mabel Chaney, Kan¬sas City, Mo., Mrs. Lenora Bourdon, 1209 Tyler, Topeka, Mrs. Jane Puckkee, Route 2, Mayetta ,Mrs. Sarah Patterson, Mayetta, and Mrs. Rose Burk, Missouri; a brother, Sam Blandin, 507 E. 8th, Topeka; 31 grandchildren and three great¬grandchildren.
Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Rosary will be recit¬ed at 8:15 p.m. Monday at Merc¬er Funeral Home at Holton.
