    Mother of Clayton Carrell dies at Westmoreland
    Mrs. Sophia Marie Carrell, mother of Clayton Carrell of Rossville, died April 24 at Westmoreland hospital. She had been a patient there for two days. Mrs. Carrell, who lived recently at Olsburg, was a lifelong resident of Riley County in the Randolph community. She was born February 14, 1875, in Randolph. She was a member of the Olsburg Lutheran Church.
    Her husband, Wilburn Carrell, died in 1954. Besides her son in Rossville, Mrs. Carrell is survived by another son, Leslie Carrell, Rt. 5, Manhattan, and four daughters, Mrs. Nora Chelson, Olsburg; Mrs. Alice Menkens, Belleville; Mrs. Lula Webb, Salina; and Mrs. Nellie Wood, Rt. 1, Manhattan; 14 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many other relatives.
    Memorial services were at the Olsburg Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Glen Stenholm officiating. Burial was in the Rose Hill cemetery north of Randolph.
