    Bertha M. Cless
    Mrs. Bertha M. Cless, 78, resident of this community 72 years, died Monday in a Topeka hospital. She was born May 16, 1880, in Lena, Ind., and settled on a farm southwest of Rossville with her parents in 1886. She was a member of the Rossville Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Amaryllis Eastern Star Chapter of Rossville.
    She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Metzler, Topeka, and Mrs. W.S. Montgomery, Modesto, Calif.; four brothers, Ray Parr, Rossville; Carl Parr, Altadena, Calif.; Ora Parr, San Diego, Calif.; and Russell Parr, Riverside, Calif.; and nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services were at 2 p. Wednesday at the Rossville Methodist Church with burial in Rossville Cemetery. Parker Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
    Card of Thanks – We wish to extend our appreciation to the many friends for their expressions of sympathy, the beautiful floral offerings and cards and acts of kindness in the loss of our sister.

    Notice of Appointment of Executor
    To the Creditors, Heirs, Devisees, and Legatees of Bertha May Cless, Deceased, and all others concerned:
    You and each of you will take notice that on the 11th day of July, 1958, Joe M. Gresser was appointed executor of the Will of Bertha May Cless, deceased, and duly qualified as such executor, and letters testamentary were issued to him on July 11, 1958, by the Probate Court of Shawnee County, Kansas
    All parties interested in said estate will take notice and govern themselves accordingly. All creditors are notified to exhibit their demands against the said estate within nine months from the date of the first publication of this notice as provided by law, and if their demands are not thus exhibited they shall be forever barred.

    Notice of Hearing of Petition for Final Settlement
    The State of Kansas to all Persons Concerned:
    You are hereby notified that a petition has been filed in said court by Joe M. Gresser, Executor of the Will of Bertha May Cless, deceased, praying for a final settlement of said estate, approval of his acts, proceedings and accounts as Executor, allowance for his services and attorney’s fees, and expenses; and also praying that the court determine the heirs, devisees, and legatees entitled to the estate and the proportion or part thereof which each is entitled and distribute and assign the same to them in accordance with the Will of Bertha May Cless, deceased; and you are hereby required to file your written defenses thereto on or before the 16th day of October, 1959, at 10:00 o’clock, A.M. on said day, in said court, in the City of Topeka, at which time and place said cause will be heard. Should you fail therein, judgment and decree will be entered in due course upon said petition.
