    Henry “Hank” Lillard Henry Rufus “Hank” Lillard,
    74, Rossville, died Saturday,
    December 17, 1994, at the
    Rossville Valley Manor, where he had been the past few weeks.

    He was born January 19,
    1920, in Silver Lake, the son of
    Rufus and Nellie Martin Lillard, and moved to Rossville at an early age. He was graduated from Rossville High School and attended Kansas State Agricultural College in Manhattan. He was a farmer and had worked for Rossville Township and Rossville Cemetery.

    Mr. Lillard was a Navy veteran of World War II.

    He was a charter member of Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion in Rossville.

    Surviving him are two sisters, Phyllis Graves, Rossville, and Lucille Bagby, Marquette, Mich.; and a brother, Glendon “Bud” Lillard, Rossville.

    His service is at 2:00 Tuesday (this afternoon) at the Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys. Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion will conduct graveside services at Rossville Cemetery.

    Henry ‘Hank’ Lillard
    ROSSVILLE — Henry Rufus "Hank” Lillard, 74, Rossville, died here Saturday, Dec. 17, 1994, at a rest home where he had been several weeks.

    He was born Jan. 19, 1920, in Silver Lake, the son of Rufus and Nellie Martin Lillard, and moved to Rossville at an early age. He was graduated from Rossville High School and attended Kansas State Agricultural College in Manhattan. He was a farmer and had worked for Rossville Township and Rossville Cemetery.

    Mr. Lillard was a Navy veteran of World War II.

    Survivors include two sisters, Phyllis Graves, Rossville, and Lucille Bagby, Marquette, Mich.; and a brother, Glendon "Bud" Lillard, Rossville.

    Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys. Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion will conduct graveside services at Rossville Cemetery. Mr. Lillard will lie in state from 2 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
