    Donald B. Catron Sr.
    Donald Blinn Catron Sr., 80, of Topeka died Saturday, Jan 27, 1990, at a Topeka nursing home.
    Mr. Catron was a butcher for Morrell Packing Co., and then for Valley Vista Locker Plant for several years before he retired in 1951. He then worked for 15 years as a superintendent for the Kansas Historical Society.
    He was born Dec. 27, 1909, in Tildon, Neb., the son of Herbert Lee and Ethel Ada Muckey Catron.
    Mr. Catron was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church.
    He was married to Twila Corrine Flickinger on July 15, 1932, in Lawrence. She died June 7, 1980.
    Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie L. Renfro, Tucson, Ariz., Norene A. Ketcherside, McPherson and Nadine A. Gilbert, Topeka, four sons, Benny D. Catron, Donald B. Catron Jr., Charley W. Catron and Harley D. Catron, all of Topeka; two sisters, Theresa Cobler and Clarice Wilcox, both of Topeka; two brothers, Ronald Catron, Topeka and Jerry Catron, San Antonio, Texas; 23 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
    Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mr. Catron will lie in state after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will meet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday.
