    Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Cless, Mrs. Thelma Sigler, Carol and Shirley, drove to Hutchinson Friday and returned home Tuesday, after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Cless. The week-end visit was in honor of the 49th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Cless which passed on Tuesday.

    Charley Cless

    dies suddenly


    Charles E. Cless, 85, treasurer of the Rossville Township board and retired merchant, died Sunday night, Dec. 27, 1956, at his home in Rossville. He was born March 13, 1871, in Illinois and settled in Rossville 77 years ago. He operated a hardware and furniture store in Rossville for 50 years before he retired in 1941.

    He was a member of the Rossville Christian Church, financial secretary of the A.O.U.W. Lodge No.75 and was township treasurer. He did not run for re-election on the township board at the recent election.

    He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Katherine L. Cless, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. T. V. Sigler, Fort Sam Houston, Texas; two sons, Archie R. Cless, Denver, Colo., and Clyde H. Cless, Hutchinson; two brother, Walter Cless, Rossville, and Ralph S. Cless, Pueblo, Colo.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Rossville Christian Church, with burial in Rossville Cemetery. Parker Mortuary of Topeka was in charge of arrangements.

    PETITION FOR
    FINAL SETTLEMENT

    The State of Kansas to All Persons Concerned:

    You are hereby notified that a petition has been field in said court by Clyde H. Cless, administrator of the above estates, praying for final settlement of said estates, approval of his accounts as administrator, allowance for his attorney’s fees, also that the court determine the heirs of said decedents and assign to them the real estate and personal property remaining in said estates, and you are hereby required to file your written defenses thereto on or before the 13th day of June, 1958, at 10:00 o’clock A. M., of said day, in said court, in the City of Topeka, at which time and place said cause will be heard. Should you fail therein judgment and decree will be entered in due course upon said petition.
