    Travis Larsen
    Travis Leslie Larsen, 37, of Topeka, died on Sunday, January 14,2018.

    Celebration of Life service, led by Pastor Paul Whiting, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20,2018, at the Metropolitan Community Church, 4425 SW 19th St., Topeka. A reception will follow at the church. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Burns Cemetery, Burns, Kan.

    Travis was born in Topeka on June 24,1980 to Bruce and Paula (Vaughn) Larsen.

    Travis was a 1998 graduate of Augusta High School. He was united in marriage to Doniel “Don” Jackson, M.D. on Oct 11,2013. Travis was currently studying Human Services Addiction Treatment Administration at Washburn University and volunteering at Positive Connections. He had previously worked as a carpenter and building contractor. Travis enjoyed exercise, bicycling, camping, fishing, dancing and loved to travel. Travis could create an incredible outdoor meal. He loved people, family life, and demonstrated a love for being with others and offering his friendship. He loved life.

    He is survived by: his husband, Don Jackson, M.D.; mother, Paula Larsen, Topeka; his father and stepmother, Bruce and Joyce Larsen Wichita; paternal grandfather, Clyde Larsen, Wichita; stepmother, Belinda Larsen, Augusta; brothers, Nicholas Harder, Augusta and Eric Vaughn, Topeka; numerous aunts, uncles cousins, and friends.

    He was preceded in death by: his sister, Amy Harder Carey; grandparents, Lois Larsen, Eva Vaughn, and Andrew Joseph Vaughn.

    His family is grateful for the dedication of Travis’s dear friend Ed Horan, who has provided his time, guidance, generosity and friendship.

    Contributions in memory of Travis may be made to Positive Connections in Topeka.
