    WALTER CLESS’ ENJOY GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

    Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Cless entertained at an informal gathering Sunday, Feb. 28, at the home of his parents, Mr. an Mrs. Walter Cless, who were honor guests on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.

    Mr. and Mrs. Cless were married Feb. 24, 1904, at the home of the bride’s parents north of Rossville with the Rev. Steward officiating. Mrs. Cless is the former Lida Shenk. They have one son, Floyd of Topeka.

    They were pleasantly surprised by a group of relatives and friends who gathered at their home Sunday and helped them observe their Golden Wedding anniversary.

    The table was covered with a lace cloth and decorated with a three-tier cake and candelabra. Mrs. Duane Parr cut the cake and Mrs. Leland Wagner was in charge of the guest book.

    Mr. and Mrs. Harvey James announce the marriage of their daughter, Mildred to Mr. Floyd Cless. The wedding took place at the home of Rev. McFadden, Topeka, on Friday May 25.

    Mrs. Cless is the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James and is well known here having spent her entire life in this community. She is a graduate of Rossville High school and for the past four years has been teaching in this county.

    Mr. Cless is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Cless and has grown to manhood in this community. He is employed by the McPherson Motor Co., at Topeka. They will make their home in Topeka.
