    Nettie Coe

    Nettie Frances Coe, 85, Topeka, died Thursday, June 22, 2000, at her home.

    She was born May 10, 1915, in Colony, the daughter of Sidney N. and Virginia Murphy Tefft. She graduated from Burlington High School and lived in southeastern Kansas, in Corning and then 30 years in Rossville, before she moved to Topeka in 1998.

    She married Floyd L. Coe on May 10, 1938, in Erie. He preceded her in death March 16, 1963. Mrs. Coe also was preceded in death by two daughters, Frances L. “Fran” Coe, July 15, 1990, and Rachel E. Ray, Feb. 11, 2000; and a son, Dale L. Coe, March 20, 1996.

    Survivors include three sons, Leonard E. Coe, Loveland, Colo., Edward N. Coe Sr., Huntington, Ark., and David Coe, Topeka; a sister, Alice Hintz, Garnett; a brother, Marvin N. Tefft, Moran; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

    Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Parker-Price Mortuary. Graveside services will be a 4 p.m. Saturday at the Centralia Cemetery. Mrs. Coe will lie in state after 3 p.m. today at the mortuary.

    Nettie Frances Coe
    Nettie Frances Coe, 85, Topeka, died Thursday morning, June 22, 2000 at her home. She was born May 10, 1915, in Colony, the daughter of Sidney N. and Virginia Murphy Tefft.
    Mrs. Coe was graduated from Burlington High School. She had lived in southeastern Kansas and Corning. She lived in Rossville for 30 years before moving to Topeka in 1998.
    On May 10, 1938, she married Floyd L. Coe at Erie. He died March 16, 1993. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Frances L. "Fran" Coe on July 15, 1990, and Rachel E. Ray on Feb. 11, 2000, and a son Dale L. Coe, on March 20, 1996.
