    Alvin D. Colson
    HENDERSON, Nev. -- Alvin Dean Colson, 50, Henderson, formerly of Atchison, died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, at a Las Vegas hospice center where he was admitted earlier the same day, He had pancreatic cancer.
    He was born April 3, 1948, in Belleville, Kan., and spent his early life in Atchison where he attended high school. He lived in Henderson, Nev., since 1976. He was a mechanic for the Las Vegas Valley Water District for 20 years. He served in the Air Force in Vietnam. He was a member of Central Christian Church in Las Vegas.
    He was married to Traci Jordan on March 22, 1996 in Las Vegas. She survives.
    Other survivors include a son, Chad Alan Colson, Henderson, Nev.; a daughter, Heidi Dietrich, Las Vegas; his parents, Alvin and Rose Colson, Atchison; brothers, William E. Colson, in Idaho and Dennis L. Colson, in Texas; and a sister, Janice M. Spiker, Topeka.
    Services were Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Henderson., Nev. Burial was in Southern Nevada Veterans Cemetery in Boulder City.
    Memorial contributions may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice Foundation, 4141 S. Swenson, Las Vegas, 89195. Hites Funeral Home in Henderson, Nev. is in charge of arrangements.
