    Marriage- Beeler, Irene-Conley, Vernon
A pretty home wedding took place at 4 o'clock this afternoon when Miss Irene Beeler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Beeler, became the bride of Mr. Vernon Conley, son of Mr. S.H. Conley of Rossville, and the late Mrs. Conley.

Rev. Carl H. Wilhelm, pastor of the First Christian church, read the service in front of the fireplace of the living room of the Beeler residence. The fireplace was banked with palms and the mantel was decorated with pink gladiolas. Preceding the ceremony, Mrs. R.E. McFadden sang "At Dawning" and "All for You," with piano accompaniment by Mr. Dwight Beeler, a brother of the bride, who also played the wedding march for the entrance of the bridal party. Mr. Beeler gave his daughter in marriage, and she had as her only attendant, her sister Miss Laura Beeler. Mr. Conley had as his best man, his brother, Mr. James Conley of Rossville.

The bride, an unusually pretty girl with blonde hair and brown eyes was lovely in her wedding gown of ivory satin, made with a sleeveless bodice and full flare skirt, very long in the back. The only trimming was a silk thread lace yoke. She carried a shower bouquet of Ophelia roses and gypsophila. Her sister, Miss Laura Beeler, wore an attractive afternoon frock of peach georgette and carried pink roses.

The wedding was followed by an informal reception at which the assisting friends were Mrs. John Martinson, Miss Wilma Klopfer and Miss Dorothy Rodocker.

Mr. Conley and his bride will leave this evening for a trip to California, and will be at home after September 16 at 1115 Tyler street.

Out of town guests at the wedding were:
Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Gardner and family, Denver; Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Cowdey, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Palmer, Iola; Mrs. S.F. Beeler, Denver; Mrs. Kelsey Gardner, Washington, D.C.; Miss Emma C. Beeler, Riverside, Calif.; Miss Maurine Ulmer, Wichita Falls, Texas; Miss Bonnie Bishop, Lawrence; Mrs. S.H. Conley, Rossville; Mr. J.K. Conley, Rossville. --Saturday's Topeka Journal
