Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Zlatnik of Delia will be honored Sunday, September 22, with a Golden Wedding Anniversary reception from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Delia Grade School. The reception will be given by their children; Lavern Zlatnik, Delia; Mrs. Rosella Hoglund, Overland Park; Leland Zlatnik, Topeka; Mrs Evelyne Parkerson, Decatur, Ga.; Mrs. Mary Alice Huntsman, Halstead; Mrs. Judith Macha, Arlington Heights, Ill., and their families.
Mr. and Mrs. Zlatnik were married September 24, 1924 in Delia. They have lived all fifty years at the same farm home. They have fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

| Anniversary- Zlatnik, Joseph and Cecile 3 Joseph and Cecile Zlatnik celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary quietly at home on Saturday, September 24.
On Sunday morning after church services where they had been recognized by the congregation and congratulated by their friends, they returned to the home of Laverne and Velma Zlatnik. Soon the other members of the family began to arrive with baskets of food for a reunion.
Those attending were Rosella and Harold Hoglund and son Douglas, Overland Park; Leland and JoAnn Zlatnik and son Aaron, Miss Judy Harris, Mary Alice and David Huntsman and daughters Brenda and Laura, Judith and Garry Macha and sons Brent and Geogary; Mark Zlatnik and children Julie, Sheila, Scott and Melissa, Carolyn and Jeff Johnston, and Alan and Tammy Zlatnik, all of Topeka.
One daughter, Evelyn Parkerson, Decatur, Ga., was not able to come at this time. She plans to come in October so that she can attend the Keller reunion also which will be October 9.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rossee, Holton, were afternoon callers.
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Thompson, Riverside, Calif., plan to arrive in Rossville October 7 when they can attend the Keller reunion and spend a week visiting relatives and friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Zlatnik, Delia, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 23 in Delia Community Center.

Cecile Olena Zlatnik, 92, for-merly of Delia, died Sunday, Janu¬ary 5, 1997, at St. Marys Manor.
She was born May 21, 1904, near Delia, the daughter of Ludvig Syverin and Ella Lucretia Keller Thompson. She had lived in the Delia community all of her life.
She was graduated from Wash¬ington Township High School in 1923, and taught at Stach School prior to her marriage to Joseph Zlatnik on September 24, 1924. Mr. and Mrs. Zlatnik engaged in farming, and were married for 60 years prior to his death on March 2, 1985.
She continued teaching in church classes and for a number of years was active in teaching the Menninger Bible Study Course in the Delia area. She was active in community affairs, including the women’s Farm Bureau organizations, which went through several changes of name and is now known AS Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS).
Mrs. Zlatnik was always interested in the education of young people, and served as president of the Delia Board of Education for 25 years. After the school consoli¬dation movement, she continued to serve on the Board of Education for U.S.D. 321 until she finished her term.
An active member of the Delia Presbyterian Church from early adulthood, she served in many official capacities, including clerk of the session, elder, church musician, and Sunday school teacher. In ad-dition, she was active in the women’s groups of the church from Ladies’ Aid to United Pres¬byterian Women.
Surviving her are two sons, J. Laverne Zlatnik, Delia, and Roger L. Zlatnik, Topeka; four daughters, Rosella J. Hoglund, Overland Park, Evelyne R. Parkerson, Decatur, GA, Mary Alice Huntsman and Judith L. Macha, both of Topeka; a foster daughter, Della Blodgett, Burbank, CA; three brothers, Alfred Thompson, River¬side, CA, Eugene Thompson, To¬peka, and Maurice Thompson, Rossville; 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She will lie in state after 2:00 Tuesday (this afternoon) at Piper- Verschelden Funeral Home. A family visitation will be held from 7 until 8 at the funeral home. Her service is at 2:00 Wednesday at the Delia Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in the Delia Cem-etery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Delia Presbyterian Church or the St Marys Manor, and sent in care of the funeral home.

DELIA — Cecile Olena Zlatnik, 92, Delia, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 1997, at St. Marys Manor in St. Marys.
She was born May 21, 1904, near Delia, the daughter of Ludvig Syverin and Ella Lucretia Keller Thompson, and spent her life in the Delia community. She was graduated from Washington Township High School in 1923 and taught at Stach School.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Delia many years. She served as clerk of the Session at the church, Sunday school teacher and church musician and was active in women's groups at the church. She taught the Flo V. Menninger Bible Study Course classes in the Delia area several years.
She served 25 years on the Delia Board of Education and was active in the work of the Farm Bureau and Home Demonstration Units.
She was married to Joseph Zlatnik Sept. 24, 1924. They were farmers many years. He died March 2, 1985.
Survivors include two sons, J. Laverne Zlatnik, Delia, and Roger L. Zlatnik, Topeka; four daughters, Rosella J. Hoglund, Overland Park, Evelyne R. Parkerson, Decatur, Ga., and Mary Alice Huntsman and Judith L. Macha, both in Topeka; a foster daughter, Della Blodgett, Burbank, Calif.; three brothers, Alfred Thompson, Riverside, Calif., Eugene Thompson, Topeka, and Maurice Thompson, Rossville; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Presbyterian Church in Delia. Burial will be in Delia Cemetery. Mrs. Zlatnik will lie in state after 2 p.m. Tuesday at Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys where visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
