    Golden D. Cope, 84, Washington, died Sunday, Dec 14, 1986, at a Washington nursing home.
    Mr. Cope was a retired farmer.
    He was born Nov. 24, 1902, in DuBois, Neb., the son of Fred and Minnie Plinky Cope.
    Mr. Cope was a member of the United Methodist Church at Washington.
    He was married to Viola Gauby Jan 24, 1927. She survives.
    Other survivors include a daughter, Jo Ann Jorgenson, Delia; two sisters, Helen Nell, Denton, and Faye Barker, Greenleaf; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
    Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ward Funeral Home in Washington. Burial will be in Washington City Cemetery.

    GOLDEN DAVID COPE
    Golden “Goldie” David Cope, 84, died Sunday, December 14, 1986, at the Homestead Nursing Home in Washington, Ks.
    He was born November 24, 1902 at Dubois, Nebr., the son of Fred E. and Minnie S. Plinky Cope. He was one of eight children.
    When he was very young, his family moved to a farm north of Greenleaf, where he attended Logan Center School.
    On January 24, 1927, he was married to Viola Gauby.
    Golden was a farmer and stockman, and farmed in Washington County all his life. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
    Survivors include his wife, Viola; his daughter Joann and her husband, Melvin Jorgenson, Delia; two grandchildren, Judy Blush and her husband, Terry, Delia, and Daniel Jorgenson and his wife, Iva, Perry; five great¬grandchildren; and two sisters.
    Funeral services were December 16, at 2 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home, Washington, with the Rev. Charles Grant officiating. Burial was in the Washington City Cemetery.

    Other survivors include a daughter, Jo Ann Jorgenson, Delia; two sisters, Helen Nell, Denton, and Faye Barker, Greenleaf; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
    Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ward Funeral Home in Washington. Burial was in Washington City Cemetery. Visitation was from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
