    Milton Bahner
    ROSSVILLE - Milton E. Bahner, 92, Rossville, died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at a Topeka hospital.
    Mr. Bahner owned and operated Bahner’s Garage in Rossville for more than 40 years.
    He was born Aug. 18, 1908, near Pawnee City, Neb., the son of John and Rosa Dvorak Bahner. He was reared in the Grove community and lived most his life in Rossville.
    Mr. Bahner was a member of the Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Hesperian Masonic Lodge in Rossville.
    He married Lyla Ellis on Oct. 12, 1938, in Rossville. She died Feb. 8, 1974.
    Survivors include a daughter, Connie Bahner, San Diego; two sons, Danny M. Bahner and Joe E. Bahner, both of Santee. Calif.; and three sisters, Christina Zickefoose, Rossville, Julia Brees, Delia, and Lorraine Billingsley, Topeka.
    Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Rossville United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Rossville Cemetery in Rossville. Mr. Bahner will lie in state after 2 p.m. today at Piper Funeral Chapel in Rossville where visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville United Methodist Church and sent in care of the funeral home.

    Milton E. Bahner
    Milton E. Bahner, Rossville, died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at a Topeka hospital.
    He was born August 18, 1908, near Pawnee City, NE, the son of John and Rosa Dvorak Bahner.
    He lived in the Rossville community for many years. He grew up in the Grove community and had spent most of his life in Ross¬ville. He owned and operated Bahner garage in Rossville for over 40 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He was a 50-year member of Hesperian Mason¬ic Lodge in Rossville.
    He married Lyla Ellis on October 12, 1938 at Rossville. She died on February 8, 1974.
    Survivors include a daughter, Connie Bahner, San Diego, CA; two sons, Danny M. Bahner and Joe E. Bahner, both of Santee, CA; three sisters, Christina Zickefoose, Rossville, Julia Brees, Delia, and Lorraine Billingsly, Topeka.
    His service was Friday at the Rossville United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Rossville Cemetery. A family visitation was held from 7 to 8 Thursday at Piper Funeral Chapel, Rossville.
