    Rebecca J. Yocum

    Mrs. Rebecca J. Yocum, 81, of 148 Hill, Topeka, died Monday night in a Topeka Hospital. Before she went to Topeka about 17 years ago, she was a resident of Rossville for about 30 years. She was the widow of the late Dave Yocum, longtime Rossville merchant.

    Born at Shannon City, Iowa, June 14, 1866, she came to Rossville with her parents, in 1900. She was a member of the Potwin Presbyterian Church W. C. T. U. and SBA.

    Surviving are four brothers, Charles and Elton, of Rossville; Frank Vorhies of Shannon City, Iowa, and Roy Vorhies of Long Beach, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Webb of Laurel, Neb. and several nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services were held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Rossville Presbyterian Church with Dr. H. L. Nelson of Topeka, officiating.

    Music was furnished by Mrs. Ruth Hesse and Mrs. Marlin Harth with Miss Edith Higginbotham accompanying.

    Pallbearers were Messrs. Von Bloom Joe Navarre, M. L. Whearty, H. K Prater, S. O. Parr, Clarence Gresser,

    Burial was in Rossville Cemetery
