    Death of Marion Zickefoose
News of the death of Marion Zickefoose, which occurred Saturday evening at 11:30 was received here Sunday by relatives. His death occurred in a hospital at Denver where he had been taken Saturday morning, suffering from pneumonia. Mr. Zickefoose had been sick for several days previous to being take to Denver. The news was a shock to the people of the community. He had been here only a month ago to attend the funeral of a relative and looked to be in better health than when he lived here. Mr. Zickefoose had been in Colorado since 1911, in the employ of the Union Pacific at Kit Carson as section foreman. Being a sufferer from asthma for many years, the high altitude of Colorado was recommended as a relief for his affliction. Mr. Zickefoose had been an employee of the Union Pacific for seventeen years. The remains were brought to Rossville Tuesday and the funeral was held at the Presbyterian church yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. H.L. Nelson, of Topeka. The Woodman lodge of which Mr. Zickefoose had long been a member, attended the funeral in a body and followed the remains to the cemetery, where interment was made in the family lot.
