    Obituary- Gulley, Robert
    Robert Vernon Gulley, 62, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020.

    He was born November 22, 1957, in Dallas, Texas, the son of Bob Vernon and Margaret Ann (Lemin) Gulley. He was a graduate of Hico High School, Hico, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army.

    Robert married Diana Klein on July 30, 1988 in Stephenville, Texas. She survives in Topeka. Other survivors include two children, Cassidy Marie Gulley and Susan Ann Gulley both of Topeka; his mother, Margaret Gulley of Dallas, TX; five sisters, Verna Davis, Teresa (Robert) Young, Judy (Grant) St. Jullian, Pat (Robert) Campbell and Anne (Bernardo) Ugalde, all of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his father; and his brother, Greg “Zoo” Gulley.

    Robert loved quality time with his family and animals. He also enjoyed target shooting, Rock and Roll music, spending time outdoors and was a Dallas Cowboys fan.

    The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka with a funeral ceremony with military honors will begin at 10:00 a.m. Cremation will follow the ceremony.

    Note Per June McCullough-Lundin: Robert was a janitor for USD 321. He was married to Diana Gulley, who taught in the district for several years. They lived in Jennie Coleman's place & bought Bennie & Ruth Martinek's place east of the Bohemian Hall before moving to Topeka.
