Peter A. Ziegler, Jr., 90, passed away, Monday, March 10, 2008.
He was born in Flush, KS on April 23, 1917 the son of Peter A. and Mary Ann Klug Ziegler.
He was an Army veteran and served with the Battle of the Bulge in WWII.
He was a member of Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church and the American Legion.
Pete married Melba R. Bixby on April 22, 1952 at Assumption Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on April 15, 2004.
He worked for the U.S. Post Office Supply Center and retired in 1980.
Survivors include his sisters, Lena Ziegler, Topeka, Lavonne Ziegler, Wichita, Ramona Andersen, Carmichael, CA; brothers, Julian Ziegler, Kenneth “Jack" Ziegler, and Raymond
Ziegler, all of Topeka; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home. A parish rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Sat., March 15, 2008 at Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
