| Obituary- Cravens, Jesse Jesse Bryan Cravens
Jesse Bryan Cravens, 77, 2141 Jewell, died Saturday, Feb. 2, at a Topeka nursing home.
He retired from the Topeka Police Department as lieutenant of detec¬tives in 1958 after 23 years of ser¬vice, and later served as bailiff of the Second Division Court from 1962 to 1970. He had lived in Topeka most of his life.
Mr. Cravens was born Oct. 24, 1907, in Fostoria, the son of John Charles and Artamesha Hoig Cra¬vens. He married Minnie M. Jackson on Jan. 28, 1928, in Topeka. She survives at the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Virginia Taylor and Patricia Gibson, both of Arkansas City; eight grandchildren; and six great¬grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Mon¬day at Davidson Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Rossville Ceme¬tery. Mr. Cravens will lie in state at the funeral home from 2 p.m. today until service time.
