    Charles M. Crews
    Chas. M. Crews, Well Known Auctioneer Dead
    Charles M. Crews, sr., 60, Topeka auctioneer, died Friday afternoon in St. Francis hospital, of injuries received when he was struck by an automobile at Sixth avenue and Buchanan street, three weeks previous.
    He was born in Coatsville, Ind., August 12, 1876, and came to Shawnee county with his parents, in a covered wagon when he was one year old. He was a member of the M. W. A. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. C.M. Crews of the home, 1210 West Sixth street; a daughter, Mrs. B. D. Pickering of Wamego; two sons, S. K. Crews and Charles M. Crews, jr., both of Topeka; a sister, Mrs. Ellen Reed of Scranton, and a number of grandchildren.
    Funeral services were held at the Wall-Diffenderfer mortuary, Monday at 2 p.m. and interment was in Memorial Park cemetery.
