LAWRENCE - Paul I. “Mook” Martin, 60, Lawrence, died Tuesday in a hospital here. He had been ill six months.
He was born April 28, 1913, at Rossville and lived at McPherson from 1955 to 1967 when he moved to Lawrence.
He had been a truck driver in McPherson and was employed by the Klepper Oil Co. at Law¬rence. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church at Rossville.
He was married to the former Nellie Gibson July 1, 1933, at St. Marys. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mary Hudson, 2240 N.E. 49th, Topeka, and Mrs. Pauline Bickford, Sterl¬ing; and five sons, Paul Martin Jr., Henry M. Martin, Steve Martin and C. D. Martin, all of McPherson, and William Wal¬lace Martin, Brunswick, Me.
Also surviving are his moth¬er, Mrs. Edith I. Martin, Rossville; six sisters, Mrs. Olive Baird, Neosho, Mo., Mrs. Edna DeVader. Holton, Mrs. Doris Magee, Emmett, Mrs. Gladys Immenschuh, Wichita, Mrs. Betty Gibson, 1508 Van Buren, Topeka, and Mrs. Catherine DeVader, Delia; and three brothers, Ralph Martin, Loganville, Ga., Reid Martin, 2007 Clay, Topeka, and Charles Mar¬tin, Silver Lake.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Stanislaus Catho-lic Church at Rossville. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Parker Mor-tuary in Topeka.
