    Cory J. Gordon

    Cory J. Gordon, 40, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022, while in Florida.

    He was born January 19, 1982, in Westmoreland, the son of Lyle W. and Kim K. Janssen Gordon. Cory was raised in the Delia and Rossville communities and graduated from Rossville High School in 2001.

    Cory was a transport specialist for Security Transport and traveled all over the United States. He loved touring the United States and always had a story to tell when he came home.

    He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed & LeAnne Leonard, Rowland & Norma J. Gordon, Step father, Mitchelle Doucet, Aunt, Karla Richter & Uncles, Keith Janssen & Kurt Richter.

    Survivors include his mother, Kim Doucet, Rossville; his father, Lyle Gordon, Topeka; a brother Chris (Dani) Gordon, Delia; a sister Cheryl (Christian) Fisher, Spartanburg, SC; his grandfather, Eldon (Sharon) Janssen, Las Vegas; an uncle, Scott Gordon, Topeka; an aunt, Keri (Adam) Longaway, St. Louis; many cousins, nieces & nephews; his fiancé, Jennifer Wick, Rossville; and her son Atreus, Rossville.

    A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

    In Lieu of flowers, donations came be made to th Rossville Community Library or the Rossville American Legion Auxiliary Post #31.
