    RAPHAEL M. CUNNINGHAM
    Raphael M. “Ray” Cunningham, 77, Topeka, died Sunday, October 30, 2005 at Midland Hospice House.
    He was born May 31, 1928 in Delia, the son of James C. and Catherine L. Diehammer Cunningham.
    He was a 1946 graduate of Delia High School. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He first retired from the Teamsters Local 696 and later retired from Washburn University.
    Raphael married Wilma J. Douglas on June 18, 1955 in Big Delta, AK, She survives.
    Other survivors include a daughter, Terri Hearrell, Topeka; a son, Gary Cunningham, Topeka; a brother, Jim Cunningham, Topeka; and five granddaughters.
    His service was at 1 p.m. Thursday at University United Methodist Church. Burial followed in Penwell-Gabel’s Memorial Park Cemetery. The family received friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, Topeka.
