    Clinton Curwick
    Clinton C. Curwick, 60, 117 E. Grant, died about an hour after arrival at a Topeka hospital Monday noon. He had a heart ailment and had been a patient in the same hospital in November, 1973, and again in August, 1974.

    He was a truck tire inspector at the Topeka Goodyear Plant from 1945 until May, 1974, when he retired.

    He was born Jan. 25, 1916, at Emmett and lived at Rossville before he moved to Topeka in 1945.

    He was a light tank crewman with the Ninth Armored Division in the Army and served overseas during World War II. He received the American Defense Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, Europe-African-Middle Easter Ribbon with two bronze stars, and Good Conduct Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Award, World War Ii Victory Medal, and the Purple Heart.

    He was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and Local No. 307 of United Rubber Workers of America.

    He was married to Mrs. Helen Blum Aug. 17, 1946. She survives.

    Other survivors include three sons, Ronald W. Blum, 6136 W. 27th Terrace, Larry L. Blum, 2325 E. 22nd Terrace, and Steven C. Curwick, 1228 College; a brother Gene Curwick, Forest Gove, Ore.; a sister, Mrs. Mae Coke, Forest Grove, Ore.; and three grandchildren.

    Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Davidson-Duff Funeral Home. Burial will be in Prairie Home Cemetery. Mr. Curwick will lie in state at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday.
