    Funeral services for E.H. “Ben” Cutbirth, 70, of Auburn, who died Saturday in a Topeka hospital, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary, with burial in Silver Lake Cemetery.

    He was born March 22, 1884, in Silver Lake. He was assistant post master at Silver Lake for 20 years and was postmaster for 10 years. He had been in business at Auburn for 14 years. He was a member of the Silver Lake Baptist Church.

    He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mabel Hill Cutbirth of the home; a son, Joe Cutbirth, Topeka; one grand¬daughter; two sisters, Mrs. O.C. Neiswender and Mrs. Lula Robinson, both of Topeka; a brother, Bob Cutbirth, Enid, Oklahoma; and a sister-in-law, Nanon Oliver, Topeka.
