    Glenda Branson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin O. Branson, was married to Charles E. Foster, Rossville, Sunday at 10 a.m. Mr. Foster is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Foster, Rossville.

    The ceremony was in Holy Name Church with the Rev. Thomas Santa officiating.

    The brides' dress was a floor length A-line gown of silk organza over satin. It had bell-shaped sleeves and a beaded neckline of Chantilly lace accented the aisle-wide, pleated chapel train. Her veil was silk trimmed with matching lace and held by a princess crown of seed pearls. The bridal bouquet was a cascade of white pompoms and orange delight roses.

    Mrs. Charles Deters, sister of the bride was matron of honor and Mrs. Ted Mlynek was brides matron. Junior bridesmaid was the sister of the groom, Teresa Foster, Rossville. Anita Foster served as flower girl.

    David Foster, brother of the groom, served as best man and groomsmen were Ted Mlynek and Steve Mock. Ushers were Alfred Branson and Fred Foster, Rossville.

    A reception in the Gold Room of the Knights of Columbus Hall followed the ceremony. For their honeymoon the couple will spend three weeks touring Europe and will visit relatives in Ireland over Christmas.

    Mrs. Foster is a graduate of Hayden High School and Sisters of Charity School of Nursing in Kansas City. She is employed by Stormont-Vail as a surgical nurse.

    Mr. Foster is a graduate of Rossville High School and is employed by Santa Fe.

    The couple will be at home at 201 North Quenton in Topeka.

    Linda Kay Foster passed away February 17, 2024, at Midland Care Hospice surrounded by family. She was born August 27, 1974, in Topeka, Kansas and graduated from Topeka High School and Friends University. Linda lived in Kansas City, working as an Asset Scheduler for Dupont.

    Linda had a beautiful smile that could light up any room and her generosity knew no bounds. She loved traveling and was able to visit all 50 states and several countries. Linda loved animals, especially her dog Ziva of 14 years.

    Linda is survived by her mother, Glenda of Topeka, KS; father, Charles of Delia, KS; brother, Phil (Michelle) of Ozawkie KS; sister, Laura (Bryan) of Littleton CO; nieces, Araceli and Toni; nephew, Kendrick; numerous cousins; and her beloved partner, Clint.

    Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2024, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5973 SW 25th Street, Topeka KS 66614, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Private inurnment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
