Alex and Lenora Darting will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 6, at the Rossville Community Center.
Hosting the reception will be their children, Ken and Karen Darting, Silver Lake; Dennis and Jan Darting, Baldwin City; Steve Darting, Seneca; and their five grandchildren. The Dartings also have a daughter, the late Donna Darting.
Alex Darting and Lenora Andrick were married June 3, 1943, in Topeka. He was in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is retired from Western and Southern Insurance Company and the U.S. Postal Service. She is retired from McCall Pattern Co.

| Obituary- Darting, Donna DONNA JEAN DARTING
Donna Jean Darting, 10-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex E Darting. St. George, died Sunday at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, following a sudden illness.
The child became ill suddenly about 3 p. m. Saturday, and later lapsed into unconsciousness. The cause of death was a diabetic coma.
She was born in Rossville June 26, 1947. The family moved to St. George about three years ago.
Survivors include her parents, two brothers, Dennis, 7, and Kenneth, 8, and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Ray Andrick, Rossville, and Mrs. John Darting, Emmett.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Rossville Methodist Church, Rev. Don Jones officiating. Burial was in the Rossville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Virgil Adams, Johnny Curnes, Bill Curnes, and Roger Dean Darting. Arrangements were made by the Hurley Funeral Home.
