| Anniversary- Eaken, Lester and Viola Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Keefover and children of Rossville were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Eakin [sic Eaken] of Delia. Mrs. Keefover is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eakin and this was a birthday dinner in celebration of her 25th birthday. Other guests for this occasion were Rev. and Mrs. Floyd Gee and children Danny and Laurel Ann, and P. W. Davis of Delia.
A reception was held Sunday evening at the Church of Christ after services in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Eakin’s 30th wedding anniversary. Refreshments were served to the 25 persons present.

| Obituary- Eaken, Lester Lester L. Eaken
BLUE RAPIDS — Lester L. Eaken, 74, Blue Rapids, died Friday at a Marysville hospital.
He was born May 28, 1907, at Elm Grove, Mo., the son of John M. and Ethel Marrs Eaken. He lived in Rossville from 1950 until 1970 when he moved to Blue Rapids.
Mr. Eaken was a machine operator for Jackson County and a member of First Baptist Church, Blue Rapids.
He married Viola Stansberry Oct. 19, 1929, at Union Grove, Mo. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Helen Miller, Blue Rapids, and Mrs. Geraldine Keefover, Great Bend; a son, Paul Eaken, Port Hueneme, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and five great¬grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Blue Rapids. Memorial contributions may be made to the church in care of Perry Funeral Home.
