    Milton H. Daugherty
    MAYETTA — Milton H. Daugherty, 82, Mayetta, died Friday, June 14, 1996, at a Rossville nursing home.
    Mr. Daugherty was a farmer and stock¬man in the Mayetta area.
    He was born Sept. 28, 1913, at Mayetta, the son of Oran and Lucy Wich-e-wah Daugherty. He was a lifelong resident of the Mayetta area.
    Mr. Daugherty was a member of the Catholic church and Prairie Band of the Potawatomi Tribe.
    He was married to Leafy Keller on July 31, 1935, at Westmoreland. She survives.
    Other survivors include a son, Leon Daugherty, Mayetta; a daughter, Gwyn Hinman, Whiting; a sister, Orena Baker, Albuquerque, N.M.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
    Mr. Daugherty was preceded in death by two sons, Darwin Daugherty and Oran Daugherty, and a daughter, Barbara Lou Daugherty.
    Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Mercer Funeral Home at Holton. Cre¬mation will follow the services. Mr. Daugherty will lie in state after noon today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Potawatomi Methodist Church and sent in care of the Denison State Bank at Holton, or the funeral home.
