| Marriage- Meyer, Anna-Reser, Ernest Meyer-Reser Wedding
Miss Anna Meyer and Ernest Reser were married at the Catholic church Wednesday morning at eight fifteen by Rev. Father McNieve S.J. They were attended by Miss Pearl and Joseph Meyer, the latter is a brother of the bride.
The bride was attired in a beautiful Copenhagen blue suit with hat and gloves to match and the bridesmaid wore a dark blue suit with black hat and gloves. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Meyer and is a very respectable young lady. She is well known in this vicinity having attended the Parochial school and has worked in and near here for several years.
The groom is the son of B. Reser, who lives near Rossville, and is a young man much respected by his many friends. He is well acquainted here and has a circle of friends, who congratulate him on his choice in life.
After the Wedding Mass the wedding breakfast was served to the immediate relatives at the home of the bride's parents, in Sandy Hook. Mr. and Mrs. Reser left on the noon train Wednesday for a short trip in the east. They will be at home on the Reser farm near Rossville after December 1st.

| Bridal Shower- Reser, Cora Miss Cora Mae Reser was the honoree at a miscellaneous bridal shower last Thursday evening held at the Bank hall. Vida Stumbaugh Alice Lemon, Bernice French and Lucille Gleason were the hostesses. The gifts for the bride-to-be were placed on a large table decorated with pink and white. The evening was spent in playing bridge, pinochle and pitch. Refreshments of angel food cake, ice cream and coffee were served. Following the opening of the many lovely gifts each departed wishing the bride much happiness. | Marriage- Reser, Cora-Davis, Elmer RESER—DAVIS
Miss Cora Mae Reser, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Reser, and Mr. Elmer Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Davis, were married Monday morning, February 8, at 10 o'clock at the Immaculate Conception church at St. Marys. The only attendants were Mrs. Jack Gleason and Mr. Wm. Meyer, aunt and uncle of the bride.
The bride was lovely in a navy blue crepe dress with blue accessories.
The wedding party returned to Rossville to the home of the bride’s parents where a wedding luncheon was served.
The newly weds left Monday afternoon for Frankfort for a short visit with Mr. and Mrs. Milton Perry and before returning home they will visit Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Sieber at Williamstown.
Mr. and Mrs. Davis are both graduates of Rossville high school and were reared in this community.
After March 1st Mr. and Mrs. Davis will be at home on the Ray Parr farm west of Rossville.

| Anniversary- Davis, Elmer and Cora Golden Wedding Anniversary for Elmer Davis Couple
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer David Davis, Rossville, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at 6 p.m. Saturday, February 7, at Stephenson’s in Kansas City, Mo.
Hosting the occasion will be their children, Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Conway, Indianapolis, Ind., Sally Coffman, Minneapolis, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. David Davis, Hutchinson. The couple has nine grandchildren.
Cora Mae Reser and Elmer David Davis were married February 8, 1937, in St. Marys. They have lived their married lives in the Rossville and Topeka communities.
Mr. Davis is retired from the Santa Fe Railroad and Brotherhood of Railway Clerks.

| Obituary- Davis, Cora Cora Mae Davis
Mrs. Cora Mae Davis, 87, Topeka, died Thursday, Feb.26, 2004, in a local care center.
She was born in Rossville on Oct. 4, 1916, the daughter of Ernest and Anna Meyer Reser.
Cora Mae graduated from Rossville High School in 1935.
She married Elmer D. Davis on Feb. 8, 1937, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys. Cora Mae enjoyed a full life. Her hobbies were ballroom dancing, square dancing, sewing, bridge, cooking and baking. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church.
Cora Mae will lie in state from noon until 9 p.m. Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. The casket will remain closed. A funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Monday in Holy Name Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Penwell-Gabel Memorial Park Cemetery.
Cora Mae was preceded in death by her husband, who died July 31, 1991, and her sister, Shirley Ann Campbell.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her son, David H. Davis and his wife, Yvonne, Kansas City, Kan.; her daughters, Darlene A. Conway and her husband, Robert, Indianapolis, and Sally M. Coffman, Minneapolis, Minn.; one sister, C. Ernestine Fauerbach, Rossville; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
