MAYETTA—Arthur E. Eby, 92, Mayetta, died Monday, March 26,2001, at a Topeka hospital,
Mr. Eby was a farmer and stockman, and he worked for the sale barn in Emmett for seven years.
He was bom July 6, 1908, in Mayetta, the son of Ora and Anna Zirger Eby. He graduated from Circleville High School.
He married Mildred Wells on April 17, 1938, in Soldier. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Larry Eby and Gene Eby, both of Mayetta; a daughter, Leetha Smith, Osawatomie; a sister, Josephine Shupe, Holton; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mer¬cer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be at Ross¬ville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pottawatomi United Methodist Church and sent in care of the funeral home.

Arthur E. Eby, 92, Mayetta, died Monday, March 26, 2001, at a To¬peka hospital.
He was born July 6, 1908 at Mayetta, the soil of Ora and Anna Zirger Eby.
He was a graduate of Circleville High School. He was a farmer/stockman and had worked for the sale barn in Emmett for seven years.
On April 17, 1938, he married Mildred Wells in Soldier. She sur¬vives. He was preceded in death by sisters Callie Hudson and Lottie Hodge, and by a brother, Bill Eby.
Other survivors include two sons, Larry Eby and Gene Eby, both of Mayetta; a daughter, Leetha Smith, Osawatomie; a sister, Jose¬phine Shupe, Holton; 10 grandchil¬dren; 23 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
His service was at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Mercer Funeral Home, Holton. Burial was in the Rossville Cemetery. Family visita¬tion was Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Potawatomi United Methodist Church and sent in care of the funeral home.
